Opus Loci
OpusLoci is a project to enhance the territory and its economic operators by networking the five World Heritage Sites of Friuli-Venezia Giulia: Aquileia, the Friulian Dolomites, Cividale del Friuli, Palù di Livenza and Palmanova. These sites will be used both as a system for personal storytelling and promotion by a diverse group of businesses and entrepreneurial activities operating near these sites, and as a starting point for fostering sustainable regional tourism. Two project objectives are to be pursued: on the one hand, to build a visual identity system that tells the story of entrepreneurial realities as an active part of Friuli’s culture; on the other hand, to propose solutions to encourage responsible local tourism. To this end, five bicycle touring itineraries have been designed that cross Friuli’s UNESCO sites.
