Luoghi (non) comuni
Luoghi (non) comuni is an editorial series that, one volume at a time, explores some of the most distinctive flea markets in Europe, telling the reader their story and that of the people and objects that inhabit them. Each volume is divided into three sections that analyze the market on different levels: Macro provides a historical excursus on the evolution of the market and the neighborhood; Micro tells stories and points of view of those who frequent it, both from the inside and the outside; in Meso, the market takes a back seat, leaving room for the artistic, cultural and social events it has hosted. In this way, we discover the eclecticism of these places, similar in terms of activities and commercial purposes but made unique by the context in which they fit and the experiences that are rooted there. The first issue of the series is dedicated to the Balon, a historic flea market located in Turin, Italy.
